This paper model is a repaint, originally designed by Marek, has been repainted to represent the Supermarine Spitfire FR Mk III in service with the Irish Air Corps Number 1 Fighter Squadron. This aircraft, serial number PX948, was identified by Black 149 on the fuselage and flew from Gormanston, Ireland during 1947.
