Description

Rare & Unusual Paint Schemes P51

P-51C “Evalina as flown by 1st Lt. Oliver “Bud” Strawbridge.
The P-51C-11-NT “Evalina”, marked as “278” (former USAF Serial : 44-10816) and flown by 26th FS, 51st FG, was hit by gunfire on 16 January 1945 and belly landed on Suchin Airfield in China, which was held by the Japanese. The Japanese repaired the aircraft, roughly applying Hinomaru roundels and flew the aircraft to the Fussa evaluation centre (now Yokota Air Base) in Japan.

A derivative design of Marek’s 1/50 scale Spitfire models, this model has been redrawn and modified with this historic livery.
The kit also features other upgrades like photorealistic elements and simulated landing gear wells.
No cockpit and paper canopy provided.
Kit contains basic assembly diagrams and internal formers.
