Description
44-32691 Republic P-47D-30-RA Thunderbolt
This P-47D-30-RA was built and delivered in 1944, to Godman Field, Kentucky.
It served as an aerial gunnery trainer before being transferred to the U.S. Air Force Museum.
Later, donated to the Smithsonian, it is now on display at the Steven Udvar-Hazy Center in Virginia.
Republic Aviation restored the airplane in honour of the 20th anniversary of the first P-47 flight.
