Description
THIS KIT IS A REISSUE OF A PREVIOUS ECARDMODELS.COM LISTING
A paper model of a Dutch Fokker G-1 Mercury in a scheme used from 1937 to 1940, aircraft number 302.
Introduce in 1936, the G-1 proved a serious opponent for the German fighters of the period. Only a few dozen were built – the few that survived the German dawn bombardments of Dutch airfields (May 10, 1940) fought with great success against the enormous German air invasion fleet. The landings near The Hague failed so badly that Hitler never planned another parachute attack throughout the war.
Highley detailed, with complete interior. Designed by Cor van Haasteren. Dd 4/5.
