Description
From 1912 to 1914, a pier light was built on wooden piles on the port side of the mouth of the Geeste into
the Weser for the expansion of the old Bremerhaven port facilities. A new northern pier was built at the
entrance to the Geeste. On August 18, 2022, part of the northern pier sagged because the wooden piles
gave way. As a result, the lighthouse started to lean at an angle of eight degrees and threatened to topple
over. It was demolished and a new tower is to be rebuilt true to the original by 2025.
This model can be built without a foundation, with a straight foundation or as a sunken version.
The tower can be built in as simple or as a detailed version.
