Description

The Consolidated PB4Y-1 was the US Navy version of the Liberator B24D, adapted for longe range anti-ship and anti-submarine patrols.
The aircraft were generally not equipped with the same air to air defensive armament as their B24 counterparts.
Some PB4Y were used at the Naval Aircraft Modifcation Unit (NAMU) in Johnsville Pennsylvania, for the testing and evaluation of various Missiles and Drones.
This kit builds Consolidated PB4Y-1 NAMU 309
Painted in a high visibility yellow and equipped to carry air to air and air to surface Guided Missiles and experimental Drones such as the Gorgon series of Guided Missiles.
This model also includes scale versions of the Gorgon IIIa CTV-N-6 series Guided Missile and wing mountings.

This kit is a derivative of Marek’s 1/50 scale Consolidated B-24 Liberator model and features many new upgrades and modifications, including detailed repainting, weather texturing and photo-realistic effects.

The B24 B24A B24D C87 LB30 assembled model has a wingspan of about 26″.
Contains approx. 300 parts
13 pages includes cover page, assembly Instructions and diagrams
and 10 pages of full colour printable parts.
This is a medium to advanced skill level kit.
