Description

The L-4 Grasshopper is the military version of the Piper J-3 Cub. An L-4 commanding an artillery battery could accurately destroy targets with more destructive power than a battleship!
Downloadable kit for paper model aircraft and a Jeep.
This model is designed to be printed on 110# index [298 gsm cardstock]

First built in 1938, the J-3 Cub is the aircraft that taught America to fly. Almost 20,000 were built in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania ending production in 1947.

This L-4 is the legendary mount of Major Charles Carpenter, also known as: ‘The Mad Major’; and ‘Bazooka Charlie’. He was frustrated by the German panzer tanks moving before he could bring the artillery down on them. He mounted six bazooka rocket launchers to his wing struts, and he went Panzer hunting. He named his aircraft: ‘Rosie the Rocketer’.

Paper Model contains 2 pages of parts including including those for the aircraft and a US Army Jeep

Also included are Full Color cover page, and photographic step-by-step instructions.

2 pages of parts with a degree of difficulty of 2/5 – with the elaborate instructions, this is a good choice for a first-time modeler.
