1/48 de Havilland 83c Fox Moth – CF-DJB – Paper Model

Description

THIS KIT IS A REISSUE OF A PREVIOUS ECARDMODELS.COM LISTING

The DH-83 Fox Moth was designed to be an economical light airliner, using many of the same components as the Tiger Moth trainer, and capable of carrying three to four passengers in addition to the pilot.

This paper model depicts a Canadian built Fox Moth, serial number CF-DJB, painted to represent the livery of a different Fox Moth (CF-DJC) which was owned and operated by Polaris Charter Co., Ltd in 1946. Polaris changed its name to Wardair and became one of Canada’s larger airlines. The aircraft represented was purchased by Wardair in 1973 as a replacement for CF-DJC which had crashed in the 1950s. This aircraft was then later presented by Wardair to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in 1989 where it was then converted into a seaplane.

Paper Model Details: 130+ parts on three pages, with illustrated instructions and photo build sequence. Layered wheels and prop, duo-fold struts, engine exhaust, and landing gear legs. Full cockpit; optional clear or opaque canopy, opaque passenger compartment glazing. Degree of Difficulty: 4/5.
