The Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport aircraft is one of the world’s most widely used aircraft. Powered by four massive Turboprop engines, it holds the distinction of having the longest production run, over 50 years, of any aircraft. Represented here is a C130 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force 40 Squadron. RNZAF No. 40 Squadron has functioned as a Transport Squadron since 1943 acquiring five Hercules aircraft in 1965. These aircraft were originally painted as represented in this model.
