1/33 scale Republic P-47D Thunderbolt Tarheel Hal
The P47-D, of which 12,602 were built, carried the most number of improvements and modifications of Thunderbolts, resulting in the largest number of variants within a single classification.
44-90368 Tarheel Hal, flown by Lt. “Ike” Davis, operated in the European theater during the last years of the second World War. A P-47D (ser # 433240) based at the Lone Star Air Museum in Galveston Texas and repainted as “Tarheel Hal”, still flies today.
