44-74494 Mustang Sally is currently owned by Menno Parsons of Johannesburg South Africa ( South African Air Force Museum).
This P-51D has a long career, including serving with the RCAF 417 Sqdn out of Trenton Ontario in the 1950s. From 1958, the aircraft passed through a number of private hands, operating as a civilian passenger and race aircraft. She worked in motion pictures, appearing in the 1970 film “Patton”, and is currently part of the South African Air Force Museum restored and dressed as P51K 4411661.
