Description
The British RAF was the first Air Force to operate the Mustang and the first Mustangs were built to British requirements.
These aircraft were designated by their Factory “Marks” 1 and 2. P51 B and C models were converted in 1943 to be Mark 3
models and were used right through to the end of the war (WW2) alongside Mark 4s and 5s (converted P-51Ds and Ks).
This paper model builds Mustang Mk III FB353 of the RAF 316 Fighter squadron.
The 316th “City of Warsaw” Squadron formed in 1941 at RAF Pembrey was one of many Polish Squadrons based in England.
