Description

This kit builds AC-274 of the 402 Squadron “The City of Winnipeg Squadron” circa 1958…the “Pink Floyd Mustang”.
This ex-USAF aircraft was delivered to the RCAF in 1951 and served with the 442 and 403 squadrons, and finally retiring in
1959 with 402 Squadron, Manitoba coded AC274. After retirement the aircraft was sold to a private owner, the first of many
over the last 50 years.. In 1969 it flew as a Racer. In 1975 it crashed killing its owner at that time. After being restored to USAAF
serial and markings it was owned for a short time by Rock Musician David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) in the mid 1980s.
