1/33 Mk IV Mustang P-51D RCAF City of Hamilton Paper Model


This kit builds Mustang TF Mk.IV Code BA-U (9567) of the 424 Auxiliary “The City of Hamilton” Squadron.
This ex-USAF aircraft was delivered to the RCAF in the late 40s through to the late 50s with the 417 Squadron Manitoba
and the 424 Squadron Hamilton assigned to Tactical Command. The aircraft was later sold to private owners and flown by
one as a Racer in the late 1960s. The plane was eventually acquired by the Canadian Warplane Heritage in 1982 and flown
again as RCAF 9567…but it crashed in 1982 and was effectively lost to fire.
