RCAF 442 “Caribou” Squadron based at Hunsdon, Herts UK, flew one of the last operational missions of WW2 on May 9th 1945
escorting Channel island naval forces against resistant German forces.
This kit builds P-51K Mustang designated KH680, code Y2-B, the “Edmonton Special” was the personal aircraft
of John Mallandaine of Vancouver. Finished with yellow trim and yellow antiglare cowling over RAF temperate
Camouflage paint scheme. Standard RAF/RCAF markings.
