Description

THIS KIT IS A REISSUE OF A PREVIOUS ECARDMODELS.COM LISTING

The E-series of the Messerschmitt Bf-109 was the main Luftwaffe fighter at the beginning of World War II and remained the main service type until the F model began to replace it in 1941. The E type was typically armed with two 7.92mm machine guns and two 20mm cannons in the wings. Later E models were equipped with a centerline rack to carry a bomb or drop tank. Advanced features of the D model included leading edge slats, electrically-operated variable-pitch propeller and pilot armor. Luftwaffe pilots and ground crew called it the Emil, after the model E designation.

This paper model represents the Bf 109 E-4 , flown by Stoyan Stoyanov, Bulgarian Air Force, 1942.
