Description
Silbervogel, (German for “silver bird”), was a design for a liquid-propellant rocket-powered sub-orbital bomber produced by Eugen Sanger and Irene Bredt in the late 1930s for The Third Reich/Nazi Germany. was intended to bomb the United States with a nuclear bomb. The result was a low-payload but extremely high speed and high-altitude bomber, capable of up to 22,100 Kilometres per hour.
