The Scissors and Planes model repainted  represents one of the nine machines sold by the Japanese to Thailand after the first phase of the French-Thai conflict in 1942 (along with a batch of Ki-27 fighters) that were used in skirmishes and retaliatory attacks against the French until the fall of French Indochina, when invaded by Japan.
